Photo Essay

Cindy Hahn holds open her backpack, revealing hiking book Northwest Oregon in anticipation of  her group's May 5th hike on Maple Trail in Portland's Forest Park.
A group of power lines cuts straight through the various shades of green trees in the heart of the forest

A dead mole offers a glimpse into the unseen side of the woods as it lays peacefully on the ground

Jeffrey Folkert, far left, giving a face that suggests he thinks the 8-mile hike is child's play, Cindy,  middle,  enjoying life, and Chris Hahn, far right, looking ready to get started, pose for a picture before they embark on the day's hike.
Some good laughs ensue as Jeffrey Folkert holds a Turkey Sandwich  in his mouth  during the group's lunch break.
Chris and the group carry on through the forest, backpack, coffee and all.

An old wooden arrow poses for the camera as it goes through it's daily job of pointing hikers in the right direction  on the trail.

Chris, far left, giving a confusing expression, Cindy, middle, showing off the guns, and Jeffrey, far  right, too exhausted and out of breath after the 350 feet of monster elevation gain to even look at the camera, pose for one last final shot at the end of their day in the wild.

Exquisite Corpse Photo

This photograph was composed of multiple images thrown together by the greatest photographers the world has ever known, both dead and living (that's right, this required resurrection, if that doesn't make it bad-ass, I don't know what does)  or.... it could just be my Photo 2 class, either one works!
